Current Research Projects

• The Gobeil laboratory specializes in protein structural biology. More specifically, we are interested in the role of the conformational dynamics of viral fusion proteins (such as the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein) in the formation of protein-protein interactions. Our laboratory uses cryogenic electron microscopy (Cryo-EM), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and X-ray crystallography to elucidate at the molecular level the mechanisms underlying microbial infections.
