Conference on science outreach

We’re delighted to invite you to two training courses on science popularization given by Jean-Daniel Doucet, science vulgarisateur.

How can you offer compelling presentations, break the ice with your audience, and reach your target audience? Practice makes perfect! Always in action, JD will share his tips and tools for popularizing science with young people, whether in the classroom or at a kiosk. We’ll cover the main stages of animation, from warm-up and contact with visitors to the question period. Everything you need to give 100%!

Science outreach training for young people (in French)

• Thursday, October 03, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Université du Québec à Montréal, Pavillon des sciences biologiques, Room SB-1115
• Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Université Laval, Pavillon Ferdinand-Vandry, Salle VND 1852

REGISTRATION: Mandatory before September 27.

Feel free to bring your lab mates and friends! Drinks and snacks will be served.

We would like to point out that although our activities are offered free of charge to participants, they entail significant costs for our group. Therefore, it is crucial that all registrants attend the event as planned. No-shows impact not only our budget, but also the possibility of others benefiting from this opportunity.

We look forward to seeing you there!
