Mitotic bloom – A Stardust Kinetic
A cell captured in prometaphase, the second stage in mitosis where the nuclear envelope breaks down. The turquoise signal traces the chromatin, forming the core of the “bloom.” The “stardust” (in yellow) represents Histone H3 Serine 10 phosphorylation, a classic epigenetic marker required for proper chromosome condensation and separation during mitosis.
